The Mission

Well, everyone goes mad in their own way.. Few years ago I woke up and suddenly I had a feeling that I wanted to own 100 different cars. Not at the same time of course. Who has enough funds and parking space for that (well some do, but I’m no prince of Persia)!

Back in September 2019 I had bought my car #15 – an old Audi A8 Quattro. And that’s where it all started. A strange and stupid idea started boiling in my head. The first car blog post was born in December 2019 in Estonian language (www.100autot.ee).

The initial idea was to share weird stuff with my friends, so that I didn’t have to tell the same story over and over again. But then it started to grow a bit.

The car blog started eating my brain – I suddenly needed to swap cars more frequently – just because I would have something to write about. And of course, to reach to my target – own 100 cars in some realistic timeframe. I love the selling and buying process also.

The Rules of this car blog

I set up some rules for myself:

  • I actually have to own the car myself (lease is also an option)
  • I need to drive the car around at least 3 weeks
  • The car should be in better condition when it was before buying (if possible)
  • Ideally I should get the same price for the car afterwards compared to the buying price

There are some aspects that make this whole project a little bit challenging – I can’t use proper camera, so most of the images come from old cracked iPhone. Also I was born with two left hands and I can’t hold a wrench. That means I don’t fix the cars by myself. And finally – I don’t have enough cash to buy what I want. Sometimes I buy what I can get or what comes as an exchange for my current ride.

I have done this blogging for about two years in my native language and it has been a rollercoaster. I have owned some cool cars and some not that cool ones. Well, some of them have been really a piece of crap actually. But still, I have had my fun with them.

And now I have decided to put this blog into English so that my non-Estonian speaking friends could also follow. Let’s see how it goes…

I will start with my First One
